Description: All states with federally approved coastal management programs are required to develop a Coastal Nonpoint Pollution Program. The Department of Environmental Protection received federal approval from NOAA and EPA for its Program in June 2000, completing a major undertaking that began in 1992. Through cooperative staff efforts in the Water Planning Office and the Bureau of Watershed Management, a realistic coastal nonpoint pollution program is being implemented.
