Description: In April 2011, many Alabama communities were impacted by severe storms that produced multiple tornadoes. To help these communities recover, Gov. Robert Bentley signed Executive Order No. 18 on June 13 which named the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs to be the coordinating agency under the direction of the Governor’s Office for long term recovery efforts.
