Description: Our mission is to help American shipbuilding sustain a leadership position in naval ship construction, and work to restore American shipbuilding as a leader in the global commercial market. MMA was formed in 1984 as the association of the manufacturers of the hull, mechanical and electrical equipment used in Navy ships. Over the years MMA has expanded to include all manufacturers of machinery and equipment as well as services related to ships and shipbuilding.
